Kevin Jennings, The Cyclist

Kevin Jennings is the chairperson of Galway Cycling Campaign since 2019. He was inspired by the example of the Bus Rothaíochta Cnoc na Cathrach. A bicycle can make fun out of a trip to the shops. Bringing the kids to school or sport by bike is a joy. Bringing a group of kids who become friends to the beach or a match by bike is magic. Kevin’s hope is to live in a Galway which would value a dense network of safe green corridors connecting our human and natural worlds. In his professional life Kevin has worked in education, learning from students and colleagues and passing on some good ideas. His specialism is mathematics. He’s curious to explore that delicate ecosystem of the physics, maths, sociology and economics of how we move around.
