Katie O’Dwyer
Dr. Katie O’Dwyer is a lecturer in aquatic science at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), and researcher at GMIT’s Marine and Freshwater Research Centre. Katie has a special interest in living more sustainably and respecting our environment. As the Student Engagement Officer with GMIT’s Green Campus committee she takes an active role in supporting students who are interested in tackling environmental issues and working towards a more sustainable future. As an ambassador for the designation of Galway as a National Park City, Katie will share her enthusiasm and commitment towards community engagement in enhancing our connections with nature all across the city.
