Aidan Harte, The Digital Recycler

Aidan graduated from NUI Galway with an MA in Public Advocacy & Activism in 2017. He currently coordinates the University of Sanctuary (UoS) initiative at the university, and represents the UoS on the Galway City Community Network (GCCN). The UoS initiative aims to increase public awareness of international protection, migration and nomadic cultures, in an effort to address the low levels of participation of underrepresented groups in third-level education.

As part of the UoS Initiative, the committee is collaborating with the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, the Galway City Chamber of Commerce, Camara Education Ireland and Trinity Access on Tech2Students, an initiative which involves the revamping of donated laptops to repurpose them for students who are experiencing technological inequalities as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
