Rory graduated with a degree in Applied Freshwater & Marine Biology from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), currently he works as an Education and Public Outreach Officer as part of the Explorers Education Programme, which is based in Galway Atlantaquaria. He previously was Senior Aquarist in the aquarium for 5 years before taking his current role within the education team. For Rory, the passion for the marine and freshwater environment started at the age of 7 when he started to fly fish for trout in his local rivers and lakes, this in turn has led him down the path he has chosen
