Aisling Nic Aonghusa, The Children’s Champion

Aisling Nic Aonghusa always had a passion for local nature and their habitats. This 6th class student in Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh often is found out in the school yard promoting her friends and peers to observe their surrounding outdoor environment and to think about living a more green life. Aisling has more than six years scouting with St Joseph 1st Galway troop. Where she has actively been involved with litter picking, tree planting, and enjoying the great outdoors. She is an active member of Birdwatching Ireland, where she would be regularly counting winter migrants birds throughout county Galway. Aisling greatest wish is to share her knowledge with her peers so that Galway would be a safe haven for our wonderful nature.
